PRONIMAX V4
At the 2004 Control show in Sinsheim the new PRONIMAX V4 product family was shown for the first time. The PRONIMAX V4 does replace the PRONIMAX and SPC 2000 measuring computers. The new development is based on 35 years of accumulated experience in design, manufacturing, sales and service from both old products.
The PRONIMAX V4 is 100% compatible with SPC 4.02 Software and Windows SPC Software from the old SPC 2000 unit. Operating system is Windows XP.
The PRONIMAX V4 is an industrial PC in a fully protected enclosure containing a fast CPU and the new measuring hardware. The unit has a very effective heat transportation system, so can be used in 10 ... 45 °C (50 ... 113 °F) environment temperature.
All transducers are connected at the rear side of the unit. A 40 pin industrial plug provides 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs. Network connection and two USB ports are on the rear panel as well.
For data acquisition under Windows operating system a family of electronic components was completely re-developed. The heart of the system is the intelligent measuring board which is carrying up to four measuring modules. The measuring boards are connected to a central interface unit which carries it's own fast CPU and dual ported memory. The interface board collects measuring values in real time and with a min. of 1000 values per second regardless of the number of measuring channels! The measuring modules are designed to connect inductive probes, incremental transducers and systems with DC output as well.
Alternative or additionally the system can be extended by external intelligent transducer boxes. These boxes use the same measuring technology, so the connection to the central interface board provides the same speed and same real time capability as the internal measuring components. In total up to 480 transducer channels are possible.
In addition digital input and output modules are available as well as Profibus-, DeviceNet and other bus interfaces.
